First day of work. So nervous. I couldn't get to sleep the night. Guess I was too nervous, excited and not used to sleep early.
Meet Zy at the JE control station. She was late and I spent the time counting how many trains went by before she reached. Altogether 7 trains in all. Heex. Can see that I quite bored right.
Reach the company and wait in the Personnel and (dun rmb wat) P&A dept room. Discovered that the people the company has recurited all come from the same agency.
While Zy and I were waiting in the room, there is another new guy there also. Then while Zy and I crap there, that guy listened on quite intentively. I know he is listening to us because he laughed at our conservations. (He did not bother to act as if he cant hread us or seeem bored. Quite rude.)
After that, we were all assigned to our respective dept. I was the first to go to my dept cause my dept is juz beside the P&A dept. So I dunnoe where they are assigned to.
I was abit like a ball passed around to the people there cause they dun noe what to do with me. The people that was supposed to tell me what to do have not reach yet. Meanwhile, I have to sit in front of a lady while she do her tasks as if I'm invisible. After that, I sat at my table and look around (cause I have nothing to do). Even the cleaner got things to clean lor.
Look around there, realised I dun even have a calculator. How does an accountants works without a calculator? So calculator is our LIFE. They dig one out for me. Like I'm troubling them cause they have their own things to do also de ma.
Actually, I'm quite disappointed with the company. Because there is no pantry, just a small table set up in the storeage room for some snacks and drinks. The toilet only has one cubical (and is not beatiful as well). My dept is quite small and my space is quite small also (i find it abit cramped cos I not used to it, my APT co is much bigger). (I having high expectations here. Not my fault. )
During lunch, 3 of my work-mates bring me out for lunch. As my boss is on leave the whole week, she instructed them to bring me out for lunch. And the lunch is even on her accounts that day. Haha... Got a free lunch. (I like to eat free meals. Haha. ) I find this gesture very heart-warming like I'm being into this family.
The lunch is quite ex lor. $8 for a bowl of laska. Luckily not I paid. Quite boring during luch also cause not 'cooked' with them yet.
But during the work, I realised that they like to make jokes de. Some of the jokes abit cold de. They even have timing for jokes de. Close to lunch n after lunch. Cos others timing is juz reach company so cant jokes yet. Den another time is close to knock off so if joke need to work longer OTs. (this is my logic lah).
